Candy Centerpieces Candy Sundae "It is a girl!"

Note: This candy craft project is copyrighted. It is only for your personal use.

To make candy centerpieces like this you will need: a Sundae glass (I bought it at Cost Plus World Market store for about $2.00), starlight mint hard candies (white with red stripes on the edge with clear wrappers), cellophane, pink ribbon, a stick candy, stem wire (16 or 18 ga) or bamboo skewers, Styrofoam for silk arranging, small silk pink tulips, a white carnation, green floral tape, pink fury yarn, and tools.

Candy Sundae - Step 1. Take the Sundae glass.

Candy Sundae - step 1

Candy Sundae - Step 2. Fill the glass about 2/3 full with the starlight mint hard candies, leaving some space for the Styrofoam.

Candy Sundae -Step 3.
a) Cut the Styrofoam to the proper size, so it fits snugly into the Sundae glass. Cut 2 pieces of pink cellophane. Put the smaller piece on top of the larger piece, and then put the piece of Styrofoam in the middle of these cellophane pieces.

Using two cellophane pieces gives a fuller appearance than using one piece.

b) Pull the cellophane up around the foam and insert it in the glass.

c) Cover the foam with the pink decorative grass, pink fury yarn or shredded paper. You can secure it with floral pins. I used pink yarn in this arrangement.
